history

The band was formed in 1992 by singer and guitarist Erik Burke, bassist Adam Routier, drummer Brann Dailor , and guitarist Steve Nedwetsky. In 1993 they recorded their first demo with Lost in This Existence . In the same year guitarist Nedwetsky was replaced by Brian Steltz. Another demo called Tainted followed in 1994. A year later, guitarist Steltz was replaced by Bill Kelliher .

The band released their first and only studio album in 1996 called It's Hard to Write with a Little Hand . With guitarist Kelliher and drummer Dailor planning to play with the band Today Is the Day , the band held their last concert on Christmas Eve 1999. Kelliher and Dailor worked on another album for Today Is the Day before joining with guitarist Brent Hinds and bassist and singer Troy Sanders founded the band Mastodon . Erik Burke started a project called Sulaco and recorded an EP for Relapse Records . He also briefly joined the band Nuclear Assault . He is currently a member of the band Brutal Truth .

style

The band plays extremely demanding, precise and fast music. The guttural singing has a very aggressive tone. Influences from jazz are audible, with the band being compared to other bands like Atheist . The songs do not contain any clearly recognizable structures and are interspersed with rocky passages and conversational passages from films.
