Lettmecke is a district of the town of Plettenberg in the Märkisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia . The place through which the Oester flows is located south of the city center on the state roads L 696 and L 697.
The Heinrich Bernhard Cave in Lettmecke, named after its discoverers Heinrich Decker and Bernhard Klein from Plettenberg- Oesterau , was entered in the list of ground monuments in Plettenberg on October 2, 2000 .
The district Lettmecke is connected to the local public transport by the Märkische Verkehrsgesellschaft with the line numbers 70 and 270. At the time of the Plettenberg tram there was a train stop in Lettmecke.
