Pasel is a district of the town of Plettenberg in the Märkisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Pasel is located in the Lennetal , on the B 236 , in the Märkisches Sauerland . The place is located in the immediate vicinity of the Schwarzenberg castle ruins , embedded between the 584 m above sea level. NN Heiligenstuhl in the south and at the foot of up to 542 m above sea level. NN rising Ruthenberg. Only about 100 m northwest on the B 236 is the Siesel nature reserve - Humme sub-area .

Originally the village was called Pasel - Palsole, which means Salweide . In 1220 the Oelinghausen monastery owned goods in Pasel. The place consists of six farms. In 1286 Albertus de Palsole , named after his previous place of residence, is named as the mayor of Soest. 1337 the place is called Paitholde. The chapel is mentioned for the first time in 1446.

A private school was founded in 1803 and became a public school in 1820. Schwarzenberg Castle burned down in 1884 . The year 1889 is the founding year of the volunteer fire brigade . The community center was opened in 2005.
