The Kolliker Ort lighthouse is a lighthouse on the east coast of the Jasmund peninsula on Rügen . It is structurally identical to the Ranzow lighthouse, which was dismantled in 2002 (formerly located near Lohme a few kilometers northwest of Kolliker Ort), which was built in 2004 as part of the area monument (with sea mark exhibits) at Cape Arkona .
The lighthouse, like the Ranzow lighthouse, was built by the Pintsch company in 1904 and put into operation on April 1, 1905. It serves as a cross- branding light for the port of Sassnitz and as an orientation light for the Prorer Wiek . The white tower consists of 24 cast iron elements and is six meters high, plus a conical copper roof structure with a compass rose . The beacon was equipped with a parabolic mirror and a gas lamp, which was the orientation of the Pintsch company around 1900. The beacon technology was switched from gas operation to an electric beacon in 1936; Further modifications were made in 1978 and 2000 to halogen lamps and belt lens operation.
The lighthouse is located north of the so-called Rügen chalk cliffs on the east side of the Jasmund National Park between Königsstuhl and Kieler Ufer . The Kolliker Ort lighthouse is still in operation via remote maintenance.
