Levon Hayrapetyan ( Armenian Լևոն Հայրապետյան / Lewon Hajrapetjan ; born April 17, 1989 in Yerevan , Armenian SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Armenian national soccer player , who also has German citizenship because he grew up in Germany . He plays in the defense primarily as a left -back .

Career

Levon Hayrapetyan played in his youth for the Hamburg club Bramfelder SV before he moved to the youth department of the German professional club Hamburger SV at the age of fifteen . There he made the jump to the squad of the second team in summer 2008, where he only made seven short appearances in the regional league in two seasons , which is why he decided to leave the club in summer 2010.

He moved to the Armenian first division club and record champions FC Pyunik Yerevan on a free transfer . There he came in the second half of the 2010 season on four missions.

In January 2011 he again moved to the Polish first division club Lechia Gdańsk for free , where he was able to assert himself as a regular player. In a year and a half it was used in 35 games. On the third match day of the 2012/13 season , however, he seriously injured his knee and had to pause the rest of the season due to a torn cruciate ligament . At the end of the season, his expiring contract was not extended.

In July 2013, Hayrapetyan signed a one-year contract with league rival Widzew Łódź after a trial session . This was followed by changes to 1. FK Příbram , FC Pjunik Yerevan , Paykan FC Tehran , again FC Pjunik Yerevan and since 2018 he has been under contract with FC Alaschkert Martuni . There, his contract was not renewed in the summer of 2019 and Hayrapetyan was without a new club for half a year. Since the beginning of 2020 he has been under contract with SV Grün-Weiß Beckedorf in the 1st district class Osterholz .

National team

Hayrapetyan already played for the youth teams of Armenia. For the U-19 and U-21 he played a total of nine games and scored one goal.

After moving to Lechia Gdańsk , Hayrapetyan was nominated for the first time for the Armenian national soccer team in early 2011 and made his debut on February 9, 2011 in a friendly against Georgia (1: 2). Then he was used as a regular player in all outstanding qualifiers for the EM 2012 .
