Li Weihan ( Chinese  李維漢 , Pinyin Lǐ Wéihàn ; born June 2, 1896 , † August 11, 1984 ) was a politician of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the People's Republic of China .

Life

Li Weihan, an early companion of Deng Xiaoping , was the head of the organization department of the Central Committee (Central Committee ) between August and September 1927 . At the same time he was from August 1927 and June 1928 a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China , the highest governing body of the party. In 1933 he became the first rector of the newly established Central Party College of the Communist Party of China and remained in this position until he was replaced by Dong Biwu in 1935. In 1937 he replaced Dong Biwu as head of the Central Party College, but in 1938 he handed over this office to Kang Sheng . In October 1948 he became head of the Central Department of the United Labor Front of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China , which manages relations with the non-communist party elite, and remained in that position until December 1964.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949, Li became General Secretary of the National Committee of the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese People and held this position until 1954. Li, a member of the Han Chinese , was also a member of the Han Chinese between October 1949 and his replacement by Ulanhu in September 1954 Chairman of the State Commission on Ethnic Affairs , an agency of the State Council of the People's Republic of China . He then became vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in September 1954 and remained in this position until December 1964. He also served as vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese People between December 1954 and December 1964. At the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of China he was elected a member of the CCP Central Committee in 1956 and belonged to it until the IX. Party congress (April 1 to 24, 1969).

After Li Weihan had not held any political office for almost ten years, he became vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Political Consultative Conference of the Chinese People in 1978 and held that position until 1983. His last position was between September 1982 and his death in August 1984. Chairman of the CCP Central Advisory Commission.
