Lia (singer)
Lia (born December 20, 1981 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese singer-songwriter . She is known for her voice quality, which is described as " 1 / f noise " (i.e. rich in overtones and finely chiseled) crystal clear. She is signed to queens label .
She sings a wide range of genres such as pop, jazz and classical music. In capital letters as LIA, she is also active in happy hardcore .
biography
Lia went to the United States when she was 15 and worked in Los Angeles for a while after graduating from university . She currently lives in Tokyo.
On July 1, 2009, she announced her marriage and pregnancy.
Based on her voice, the voice model IA - Aria on the Planets - based on the Vocaloid voice synthesizer software , was released on January 27, 2012, with which it is possible to have pieces of music automatically sung with your singing voice.
Discography
Lia's CDs and DVDs are mostly released by queens label, but also by sister labels I've and Key Sounds Label . Some are also marketed jointly with Pony Canyon .
Records released by queens label alone are sold together with software and can therefore be bought in software stores. They are therefore neither recorded by the Oricon charts, nor are they usually found in record stores. Records published jointly by Pony Canyon and queens label are regularly distributed.
In 2005 it became known that the singer Shaun Yu plagiarized the theme song for Air Tori no Uta sung by Lia , whereupon his record company Sony BMG Taiwan publicly apologized and withdrew all copies of the affected album from Yu.
