Liam McNeill (born January 1984 in Massachusetts ) is an American actor .

Life

Liam McNeill grew up in the small town of Carlisle in the US state of Massachusetts, where he attended Concord-Carlisle High School. He studied economics at Trinity College in Hartford , Connecticut . In 2006 he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts there . He then worked in finance and banking in New York City for a few years before gradually devoting himself entirely to his acting career.

He completed several acting courses, a speaker education and various acting workshops, including in Boston , at the Actors Workout Studio / Los Angeles (Meisner technique), at the New York University School of Professional Studies (NYU SCPS) and at the William Esper Studio in Manhattan , New York City (Meisner Technique). He also worked on voice training and can imitate several (English) accents, including British or Texan English.

McNeill's film career began with mini-roles in the American television series CSI: NY (2006) and in the comedy film The Ice Princes (2007).

He made his stage actor debut in October 2009 as Brick Pollitt in The Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with the Concord Players theater company in Concord , Massachusetts. He had another theatrical engagement in January / February 2010 with the Quannapowitt Players as Max Halliday in On Call Murder . In 2011 he played in two theater productions at the Cape Cod Theater Project in Cape Cod . In 2012, he played Doc, an aspiring young doctor and friend of the stage character Meg Magrath, in the play Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley for the Gloucester Stage Company . In 2013, at the Vineyard Playhouse in Vineyard Haven , Massachusetts, he took on the role of homosexual college professor Ned Spofford in a staged reading of Dinitia Smith's play Dirty Pictures .

From 2009 he played mostly in independent films , often in short films . In the short film Tail (2014) he played an abductee. For his role in Tail , he received the 2014 48 Hour Film Festival in Providence , Rhode Island , as "Best Actor" ("Best Actor").

In April 2015, he was seen in the ZDF Sunday film Katie Fforde : Back to the Sea in a supporting role in the New England , Boston and New York City . He played Anthony Parker, the friend and professional colleague of marine biologist Ryan Bishop ( Heiko Ruprecht ).

McNeill has also appeared in more than 100 commercials , including for Gillette , Staples , Hasbro , Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and Fidelity .

His hobbies include music and sports . He is also active as a composer and songwriter . He lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
