society

Lichtenrader BC was founded in 1925, but did not appear in a higher class until 1945. Any seasons in the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg were not reached.

In 1945 the club was dissolved and re-established under the name SG Lichtenrade . The sports group initially remained in the lower-class football of Berlin, and Lichtenrade could not qualify for the subsequently newly founded Berlin City League . From 1948, the SG entered as VfL Lichtenrade . The football department broke away from VfL in 1952 and re-founded Lichtenrader BC . In 1968 the LBC rose to the Berlin Amateur League , which was held for three seasons until 1971. In 1985 the LBC rose together with VfB Neukölln and SC Westend again briefly in the Oberliga Berlin in 1901 , but ultimately only held the class for one season. Lichtenrade should no longer play higher class in local West Berlin football.

Only after the merger of the DFB and the DFV of the GDR did LBC gain promotion to the Association League Berlin in 1996 . In the seasons 1996/97 and 1997/98 the team reached 11th place. In the 1998/99 season the Berlin kickers landed in 17th place, which meant relegation to the state league. In this class, the LBC was hired until the end of the 2006/07 season. Only now did the Lichtenraders succeed in climbing into the Berlin Association League. After reaching thirteenth place in the opening season, the team from Tempelhof surprisingly won the Berlin championship in the 2008/09 season . In the 2009/10 season, the club from the south of Berlin played for the first time in the Oberliga Nordost . The surprise team came in 14th there. The decisive relegation games for relegation against the 14th of the southern season 1. FC Gera 03 were lost, so that the LBC relegated back to the Berlin League. There, too, the competition proved to be too strong, so that at the end of the 2010/11 season the club was relegated to the seventh-class Berlin state league as bottom of the table. In 2011/12 you were passed through as the bottom of the table in the eight-class district league, in 2015 you were relegated to the district league A. After only one season, you were immediately promoted to the district league in 2016 and from there a year later to the regional league, where you have been playing since then .
