The Liebenzeller Community Association e. V. (LGV) is an association within the Evangelical Church in Germany . Its legal form is that of a non-profit registered association and a support foundation .

history

The LGV was founded on September 28, 1933 by Heinrich Coerper as a division of the Liebenzeller Mission . Its legal independence took place during the term of office of inspector Alfred Gajan (1973 to 1996) in November 1991. The association initially worked in Württemberg, Baden and Bavaria. Wilhelm Heinsen was entrusted with the construction and appointed as head, who held this office until he was replaced in 1948 by Pastor Paul Achenbach. The community association belongs to the evangelical , pietistic and evangelical spectrum. It is one of the largest Christian community associations in Germany, a non-profit organization within the Evangelical Church in Germany and belongs to the Evangelical Gnadauer Community Association ( community movement ). In addition, the association is a member of the Diakonisches Werk Württemberg and is still closely linked to the Liebenzeller Mission and the Southern German Association .

Distribution area

The LGV includes communities and parishes in 47 districts in around 300 locations in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. The office is located in Bad Liebenzell . With around 130 community pastors, community sisters and deacons and more than 2,000 volunteers, the LGV's local events reach around 19,000 adults, young people and children every week.

Working group women

He works out offers for women in the Liebenzeller community association such as the national women's day in Bad Liebenzell and offers regional training courses. Helga Hartmann is the chairwoman of the women's working group.

Working Group Israel (AKI)

An association initiative that supports social-diaconal work among the Jewish people in Israel and in the diaspora with projects and organizes trips to Israel. The aim of the South German Israel Conference , which has been held annually since 1997, is to create awareness among Christians for the significance of Israel in salvation history and to inform the sponsors of the projects. Karl-Heinz Geppert is head of the AKI.

ISBB Pastoral Care Working Group

This association initiative runs a pastoral counseling center with a team of consultants in Hirsau. Pastoral care training courses are offered for association employees, specialist conferences such as the Pastoral Care Impulse Day and seminars on the subjects of “marriage and family” as well as “crises and conflict management” are offered. The working group operates the Internet platform "Seelsorgenetz.org". Pastors, counselors, mediators, coaches, therapists, psychotherapists and medical specialists who are active in pastoral care, advice and therapy can be researched here. Gebhard Weik is the leading pastor of the ISBB.

Hartmut Schmid has been chairman of the Liebenzeller community association since 2009 . The managing director is Rüdiger Daub, Klaus Ehrenfeuchter is the head of community / community work and Martin Siehler is head of human resources.
