The family Liebieg was one of Northern Bohemia originating clothier - and merchant family . The brothers Franz and Johann Liebieg built in 1828 in Liberec , the spinning and weaving Liebieg & Comp. and thus created the basis for an important business enterprise that was one of the largest in Austria-Hungary and later Czechoslovakia .
