Lilian Kasait Rengeruk (born May 3, 1997 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Lilian Rengeruk gained her first international experience at the 2013 Youth World Championships in Donetsk , where she won the gold medal in the 3000 meter run in 8: 58.74 minutes . At the African Cross Country Championships 2014 in Kampala she was fifth in the U20 classification in 19:51 minutes and secured the gold medal with the team. Then she won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships in Eugene in 9: 00.53 min. At the 2017 Cross Country World Championships , also in Kampala, she won the bronze medal in the adult category in 32:12 minutes behind her compatriots Irene Chepet Cheptai and Alice Aprot Nawowuna . She also secured the gold medal with the team. The following year she reached fifth place in the 5000 meter run at the African Championships in Asaba in 16: 04.51 minutes . At the 2019 World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus , she finished twelfth after 37:35 minutes. In August she won the Africa Games in Rabat in 15: 33.63 minutes over 5000 meters.

In 2017 Rengeruk became the Kenyan champion in the 5000 meter run.
