Lille-Raipas ( North Sami Unna Ráipásaš , Little Raipas') is a mountain in the northern Norwegian province ( Fylke ) Troms og Finnmark , about five kilometers southeast of the city of Alta . The mountain is 286 moh. high and 34 forms one of the measurement points of the Struve arc (of 265) to the list of the Struve Arc 2005 UNESCO - World Heritage were taken.

The mountain belongs to the Raipas group, which is part of the rock area between Alta and Kvænangen . This is part of the area of the surrounding rock of the Finnmarksvidda . The Raipas group consists of a thick layer of green schist over which there is a layer of quartzite . The same types of rock are also found in the bedrock area in East Finnmark. They are 2 billion years old.
In the mountain Allen Krill found Geology - Professor at the Technical University of Science and Norway (NTNU) in Trondheim , 1999, the oldest fossils in Europe . These are 1.8 billion year old stromatolites formed by cyanobacteria and algae , assigned to the Precambrian .

Copper deposits were probably discovered in the mountain around 1685 . Alten Kupferbergbau operated the Raipas mine from 1836 to 1869 . Raipas and the old mine near the village of Kåfjord were the main copper mines on the Kåfjord .
