Limacêdo Antônio da Silva

Limacêdo Antônio da Silva (born September 20, 1960 in Nazaré da Mata , Pernambuco ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Olinda e Recife .

Life

Limacêdo Antônio da Silva studied philosophy in Nova Iguaçu and Catholic theology in Olinda . On January 12, 1986, he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Nazaré .

He was mostly active in parish ministry, interrupted by further studies in Rome in the period from 2002 to 2007. At the Pontifical Gregorian University , he was in the subject dogma to Dr. theol. PhD . Before being appointed bishop, he was pastor in Goiana and diocesan coordinator for pastoral care until April 2018 .

On April 4, 2018 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Saldae and Auxiliary Bishop of Olinda e Recife. He was ordained episcopate on June 10th of the same year by the Bishop of Nazaré, Francisco de Assis Dantas de Lucena . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Olinda e Recife, Antônio Fernando Saburido OSB , and the former Bishop of Nazaré, Severino Batista de França OFMCap .
