Titular diocese of Saldae

Saldae ( Italian : Salde ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to an earlier diocese of the ancient city of Saldae in the Roman province of Mauretania Caesariensis (in late antiquity Mauretania Sitifensis ) in North Africa , which went down in the 7th century with the Islamic expansion .
