Limavady ( Irish Léim an Mhadaidh ) was one of the 26 Northern Irish districts that existed from 1973 to 2015. The district, whose area was in the traditional county of Londonderry , had the status of a borough . Important places in the borough were the city of Limavady , which is also the administrative center, as well as Dungiven and Ballykelly . On April 1, 2015, he went on in the new District Causeway Coast and Glens .
