Newry and Morne ( Irish An tIúir agus Múrna ) was one of the 26 Northern Irish districts that existed from 1973 to 2015. The district was in the territory of the traditional Counties Armagh and Down . Important places were the city of Newry , which was also the administrative seat, as well as Crossmaglen , Bessbrook , Warrenpoint , Rostrevor , Hilltown , Annalong and Kilkeel . On April 1, 2015, it went up in the new District of Newry, Morne and Down .
