Lin Na

Lin Na ( Chinese  林 娜 , Pinyin Lín Nà ; born January 18, 1980 ) is a former Chinese middle-distance runner .

Lin was looked after by the controversial coach Ma Junren , whose protégés ran fabulous times at the 1997 Chinese national games in Shanghai. Lin himself came second in the 800 m .

In 1998 she was the final runner in the Chinese relay, which set the current world record in the marathon relay on February 28 in Beijing with 2:11:41 hours . Lin ran 7.195 km in 22:16 min.

In 1999 she became the Chinese 800m champion, and in 2000 she became the Asian champion over the same distance.

In 2001 she won the Chinese national games over 800 m and 1500 m , and in 2002 the national title over 1500 m followed. In the further course of the year she was convicted of doping and given a two-year ban.
