Location of the linden tree in the catchment area of the Lena (upper area) |
The Linde ( Russian Линде , also Линдя / Lindja ; Yakut Лииндэ / Liinde ) is an 804 km long left tributary of the Lena in Northeast Siberia ( Russia , Asia ).
course
The linden tree rises in the eastern part of the Central Siberian Mountains at a height of a good 300 m a little north of the Arctic Circle . In the upper reaches it flows in sections through a narrow, rocky valley with rapids , but soon reaches the Central Yakut lowland . The linden tree flows through it in a strongly meandering manner on its north-western edge in the south-eastern to southern direction. In the lower reaches, the river turns east and finally flows into a left arm of the Lena at a height of 46 m .
The most important tributaries are Sebirdjoch (length 148 km), Serki (209 km) and Delingde (201 km) from the left. In the area of the middle and lower reaches there are over 6000 lakes with a total area of over 600 km².
In its entire course, the linden tree flows through practically uninhabited territory on the territory of the autonomous Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) . There are no towns along the river.
Hydrography
The catchment area of the Linde covers around 20,000 km². In the middle reaches the river reaches a width of about 50 meters and a good one meter depth, which it maintains until the mouth; the flow velocity there is 0.2 m / s.
The linden tree freezes between the beginning of October and the second half of May.
Infrastructure
The linden tree is not navigable. There is almost no infrastructure in the area through which it flows. Only in the central reaches does a road from Viljuisk to the Shigansk Rajon administrative center , located further north on the left Lenaufer, cross the river (no bridge).
