There was also the submerged hamlet of Delborn and the Kauer oil mill in the Krabach valley .

Landwehr

In the Middle Ages, the Lindscheid was crossed by three land forces . These consisted partly of earth walls and walls, partly of bushes and knots . There were small fortifications for sentinels on the barriers of the two southern land forces .

Kalkstrasse

The Kalkstraße, which led from Frankfurter Straße via Rieferath and the so-called "Römerstraße" from Nutscheid to Ruppichteroth and was important for the removal of the Schönenberg limestone quarries , ran across Lindscheid . The subjects of Herchen and Eitorf had to do compulsory labor on Kalkstrasse, in that they had to transport the Herrenstein over four to five or three hours to its destination, the Dominalhof in Hossenberg .
