Lindscheid lies on the mountain range of the same name . Neighboring places are Büsch in the north, Mühleip in the east, Schellberg in the southeast and Hülscheid in the west.

Residents

In 1830 Lindscheid had 49 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet had 97 Catholic residents in 20 houses.

In 1888 the place had 80 residents in 17 houses.

Kalkstrasse

The Kalkstraße led over the Lindscheid, which led from Frankfurter Straße via Rieferath and the Römerstraße from Nutscheid to Maire Ruppichteroth and was important for the removal of the Schönenberg limestone quarries . The citizens of Herchen and Eitorf had to do compulsory labor on Kalkstraße, in that they had to transport the Herrenstein over four to five or three hours to its destination, the Dominalhof in Hossenberg .
