From 1816 to 1934 the place belonged to the municipality of Merten .

In 1830 weiden was a farm with 14 residents.

In 1901 the heads of household Ackerer Peter Monheim and bricklayer Franz Karl Paffrath lived here.

In 1910, Weiden had listed the households Ackerin Gertrud Monheim, Ackerer and community leader Johann Monheim and Ackerer Matthias Monheim.
