Plackenhohn is located in Nutscheid at an altitude of 224 to 247  m above sea level. NHN . Neighboring towns are the hamlets of Wilkomsfeld in the west, Hönscheid and Nannenhohn on the other side of the valley.

Residents

In 1845 the hamlet had 42 Catholic residents in eight houses.

In 1888 36 people lived here in seven houses.

In 1901 there were the households of seamstress Catharina Müller, farm worker widow Heinrich Müller, two farm workers Anton Schmitz, farm worker Heinrich Schmitz, farm worker Johann Schmitz, seamstress Margarethe Schmitz and farm worker Philipp Schmitz.
