Jägeroth

Jägeroth , formerly also Jecherath , is a former part of the municipality of Eitorf .

location

Jägeroth lies between the former districts of Schiefen and (Unt-) Roth at an altitude of 138  m above sea level. NHN . In the meantime the districts have all grown together and belong to the main town.

history

Jägeroth was a monastery property with 36 acres of fields, which was first mentioned in 1742 with the tenant Petro Patt. Other tenants were Bartholomäus Halft and Anna Margaretha in 1753, bachelor Arnold Heinrich Patt in 1763 and Adolf Ennenbach and Katharina Klein in 1773. In 1885 Jägeroth had a place to live and eight residents. In 1901 the widow of the field, Peter W. Zolper, was listed as head of the household. The agricultural operation continued until 1972.
