Linganore AVA (recognized since September 19, 1983) is a wine-growing region in the US state of Maryland . The area extends to the administrative areas of Frederick County and Carroll Counties in northern Maryland. The region is part of the Piedmont Plateau northwest of Baltimore .

The surface of the Piedmont is characterized by a gently rolling landscape. The climate of Linganore is warm and because of the proximity to the Atlantic moist ocean. The soils consist mainly of gravel and clay .
