Linyanti is a constituency in the Zambezi Region in Namibia . The administrative seat is the locality of the same name Linyanti . The district has 7328 inhabitants (as of 2011).
Sangwali and the national parks of Mamili and Mudumu are also within the constituency .
In August 2013, the western half of the constituency was spun off and became its own constituency under the name Judea Lyaboloma .
Linyanti River
Linyanti is also a local name for the Cuando , which runs here as the border river between Namibia and Botswana , which gives its name to the place and a wildlife park on the Botswana side. On the northern, Namibian side, the river forms a marshland, which takes up large parts of the district ( Liambezi Lake ). Further downstream (from Ngoma ) the Cuando is also called Chobe.
