The Lippe was a river control boat of the Duisburg-Rhine waterways and shipping authority .

Technical specifications

The Lippe was built in 1963 at the Gustavsburg shipyard as a tug . She is 23.80 m long, 5.87 m wide and has a draft of 1.35 m. The ship from 1983 was driven by two MWM - diesel engines of the type TD232V8 that each 163 kW on two fixed propellers act.

commitment

In addition to being used as a tugboat, the Lippe was also used as an icebreaker , for route control, for anchor and obstacle searches and for water protection on the federal waterways . It was one of the few ships in Germany on which radar tests could be carried out. After a machine failure , the Lippe was decommissioned in 2019 and sold on July 22, 2019 for 37,899.00 euros via Vebeg .
