The Waterways and Shipping Office Duisburg-Rhein (WSA Duisburg-Rhein) was a waterways and shipping office in Germany. It belonged to the service area of ​​the General Directorate for Waterways and Shipping , formerly Waterways and Shipping Directorate West .

By merging the waterways and shipping authorities in Bingen , Cologne and Duisburg-Rhein, it was merged into the new waterways and shipping authority for the Rhine on January 30, 2020 .

The Duisburg-Rhein waterways and shipping authority operated the Duisburg district headquarters. • The inland waterway reporting and information system (MIB) extends from Basel to Rotterdam and on the Lower Main . It is used to collect transport data from specific ships by the district control centers. The data are recorded for the first time at the start of a trip and updated during the trip. B. in the case of ship accidents, the data required for the rescue services and the authorities responsible for averting danger are available.
