Lisa Aisato Njie Solberg (born July 23, 1981 ) is a Norwegian illustrator , picture book author and painter . She writes her books under the pseudonym of her two first names.

Lisa Aisato grew up as the daughter of a Gambian father and a Norwegian mother with four siblings in Kolbotn near Oslo . She received her education from 2000 to 2004 at two art schools in Oslo. Her oldest sister is the singer, songwriter, writer, journalist and television presenter Haddy N'jie , and a younger sister is the fashion designer Jankeh Njie Jamanca.

Lisa Aisato made her debut in 2008 with the picture book Til min elskede . Since then she has illustrated and authored a number of other books and also illustrated a large number of books by other authors. Her books have been translated into over 30 languages ​​and have been nominated three times for the Brageprisen . With her sister Haddy, she received the Teskjekjerringpris (Prøysenprisen) for Snart sover du in 2016 . The Morgenbladet newspaper listed Lisa Aisato among the ten best authors under 35 in 2015. Her books have been translated into over 30 languages.

Her picture book Odd er et egg was filmed as an animated film by Kristin Ulseth . This was awarded as best short film at the Tribeca Film Festival 2017, nominated for an Amanda and shown at the Berlin International Film Festival 2017 . There is also a version for puppet theater .

Lisa Aisato has also been working as an illustrator for Dagbladet Magasinet since 2009 . She lives and works in Skjærhalden ( Hvaler ) near the Swedish border.
