Klaus Hagerup
Klaus Hagerup (born March 5, 1946 in Oslo ; † December 20, 2018 ) was a Norwegian writer , poet, actor , screenwriter and director .
Klaus Hagerup worked as an actor at the Bergens Theater Den Nationale Scene from 1968 to 1969 . He later took on engagements at the Nationaltheatret and the Hålogaland Teater and also worked as a director. Between 1971 and 1996 he appeared as an actor in various Norwegian feature film and television productions.
Klaus Hagerup made a name for himself above all as the author of novels for young people like Markus og Diana (Eng. Markus and Diana , 1997) or Drager Skal fly (Eng. Where the dragons fly , 2000). He was co-author of the novel Bibbi Bokken's Magical Library by Jostein Gaarder . For the book Markus og Diana og lyset fra Sirius he received the Bokhandlerprisen in 1994 .
He also emerged as a dramatist and author of radio plays. In 1988 he wrote the biography Alt er så nær meg (Everything is so close to me) about his mother, the well-known poet Inger Hagerup . One month before his death in December 2018, Hagerup was awarded the Brageprisen Honorary Prize for 2018 in November 2018 .
