List of Austrian ambassadors in Algeria
On July 5, 1962, the Alfons Gorbach government took note of an oral report by the BMfaA regarding the result of the referendum that had taken place in Algeria on July 1, 1962 , and decided to congratulate all Algerians on the result, to recognize and enter into independent Algeria to establish diplomatic relations in the foreseeable future. On November 24, 1962, Albert Filz presented his credentials to Ahmed Ben Bella .
