Ensembles

Ensemble town center Baiershofen

Baiershofen Anger.JPG

The ensemble includes the entire anger area of the village with its buildings. It is a characteristic, impressively preserved clearing settlement from the first half of the 14th century of the Central Swabian type. The design of the complex was probably done by the Fultenbach monastery , which rearranged the fiefdoms in the village in 1350 . Around 25 old properties are lined up on both sides of the approx. 650 m long, west-east facing Angers. Most of them have retained their rural character. The stables are strictly gable to the green. These are all saddle roof buildings, originally one storey, but two-storey since the late 19th century. With its lawns, fruit and nut trees, the grassy strip has retained its historical character; In addition, the individual properties are assigned small house gardens facing the field, while larger gardens are connected in rectangular strips on the side facing the field corridor. - The parish church of St. Leonhard, a baroque building consecrated in 1730 over older parts, rises free-standing, surrounded by the cemetery, in the middle of the Angers and dominates the ensemble. The rectory sets a special accent with its hipped roof, the two guest houses Dorfanger 70 and Kirchlesweg 2 are characterized by their particular size. At its ends, the green is closed off by the small, ground-floor farmhouses Dorfanger 77 and 22; for lack of space they were built in front of older properties from which they have split off. The small houses to the east (village green 4–20) and west adjoining each other were only built in the late 19th century and do not belong to the ensemble. File number: E-7-72-115-1

Remarks

  1. This list may not correspond to the current status of the official list of monuments. The latter can be viewed on the Internet as a PDF using the link given under web links and is also mapped in the Bavarian Monument Atlas . Even these representations, although they are updated daily by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation , do not always and everywhere reflect the current status. Therefore, the presence or absence of an object in this list or in the Bavarian Monument Atlas does not guarantee that it is currently a registered monument or not. The Bavarian List of Monuments is also an information directory. The property of a monument - and thus the legal protection - is defined in Art. 1 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act (BayDSchG) and does not depend on the mapping in the Monument Atlas and the entry in the Bavarian Monument List. Objects that are not listed in the Bavarian Monument List can also be monuments if they meet the criteria according to Art. 1 BayDSchG. Early involvement of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation according to Art. 6 BayDSchG is therefore necessary in all projects.
