Changes were made to the building in the 19th century. It is a water-fenced, three-wing brick complex. The two-storey mansion is plastered, with blocks only emerging at the corners. The building is covered by a high mansard roof. On the axis of the courtyard, a single-axis central projection is set off by cuboids. To the rear of the garden, a three-sided central projection with balcony emphasizes the curved central axis. Old stone paving has been preserved in the courtyard. The associated chapel in the extension of the avenue was built in the middle of the 18th century. It consists of slurry brick and has trachyte walls, trachyte wedge stones and pilaster strips. The single-nave chapel with a three-sided apse and roof turret is emphasized at the entrance by triangular gables. | 1738 | January 21, 1985 | 136

Erected 12-17. Century as a Niederungsburg surrounded with water, remodeling after 1900. Front bridge, nine-arched, brick. Palas with two defensive towers, ruinous, rising remaining walls with Gothic pointed arched windows and in front of the Zwinger, basalt, brick, tuff. Hülchrath Castle is one of the few castles in the Lower Rhine region where their origins can still be traced back to the earliest times of medieval castle construction, which at the same time went through all subsequent stylistic epochs of castle architecture and still shows today. In this respect, this complex is an incomparably rich example of the eventful development history of the castles on the Lower Rhine. | 12-17 century | March 27, 1985 | 138

Sexton's house | Chapels with Neubrück and Tüschenbroich Friedrichstrasse 29 map |
The former rectory was built in the 18th century. The 2-storey building is divided into 5 axes. It combines various characteristics typical of the construction at that time: two-storey, brick construction, eaves facing the street, door frames and sills made of sandstone. As is often the case with old rectories, there is a niche with a Madonna figure above the door. The back half-timbered house also belongs to the sexton's house. | 18th century | April 26, 1985 | 140

Agricultural business "Haus Busch" | Wevelinghoven Haus Busch map |
Haus Busch , an isolated fortified complex in the Feldmark, consists of a 4-wing group of buildings. The existing building fabric originates mainly from the 2nd half of the 18th century. The 2-storey, 7-axis house is built on an older substructure. The brick gatehouse is attached to the muddy house. The arched gate is built from sandstone blocks and bears a coat of arms. The barn tracts are partly still preserved in half-timbering, but they have been changed several times. The group of buildings was formerly enclosed by moats and thus fortified. House Busch was probably one of the most important farms of the Lords of Wevelinghoven. The farm was destroyed by fire in the 15th century, but it was rebuilt. In the course of time, Haus Busch changed hands several times (e.g. the gentlemen von Dincklage). | 2nd half of the 18th century | 04/29/1985 | 141

Residential building | Hülchrath and Münchrath Herzogstrasse 26 map |
2-storey half-timbered house with a half-hipped roof from the 18th century. Today, brick-clad. Window changed. In view of the special historical importance of Hülchrath, the entire historical building fabric is valuable in terms of urban construction history. The building is located near the former city gate. The structural compression at this point is important for the legibility of the original situation. Half-timbering is present both in the gable and in the rear part. Despite some changes to the exterior, the building is a typical example of the small-scale development characteristic of Hülchrath and must be seen as a defining feature of the town. In terms of shape, construction and material, it is important for the external appearance of the historic town center. | 18th century | 05/31/1985 | 142

Wayside cross | Chapels with Neubrück and Tüschenbroich Talstrasse 54 map |
Crossroads from the 18th century built in association with the residential building at Talstrasse 54. The tall, slender base bears an inscription; In the shell niche there is a relief of the Madonna. The cross itself shows a body in relief. Restored in 2005. The wayside cross is a characteristic example of the wayside crosses of the 18th century, which document the artisanal sculpting tradition of this time. It is also a testimony to popular piety, which in the 18th century was often made clear by crossroads. This statement is supported by the information from local residents who still explain today that the wayside cross was and is a traditional station in processions of the faithful. | 18th century | 05/31/1985 | 143

In the weather vane the courtyard is dated 1882. The barn doors are z. T. of more recent date. The Schildbergshof is to be regarded as the successor to an older facility, which is already recorded in the Tranchot map. With the existing system, an older situation in terms of settlement history is documented. In the mid-1990s, the Schildbergshof was converted into a residential complex. | 19th century | 06/03/1985 | 144

Catholic parish center | Wevelinghoven Klosterweg 3 map |
The current parish center is a former monastery. After the previous buildings were destroyed by fire, the courtyard was rebuilt in 1698 by Mauritz de Fölkers. The northwest wing of the 3-wing brick complex dates from this time. It is 2-storey and divided into 6 axes and has a large gate passage. The building material is brick, the buildings are plastered. There is an inscription in the Torkeilstein, the year 1698 is set in anchor pins. The single-nave brick chapel with buttresses and 3-sided apse adjoins the building complex. The chapel is decorated in neo-Gothic forms and consists of plastered brickwork. Good Lübisrath | Neukirchen Lübisrather Hof map |
Gut Lübisrath is a 4-wing open courtyard with a 2-storey residential building, which is dated to 1783. Some of the barn tracts date from the 20th century, but are built on the old floor plan. The property is therefore to be regarded as a characteristic four-wing complex. Despite some changes, the house from 1783 has retained both the building fabric and the original appearance in essential parts. The building dimensions and the type of construction clearly show that this is an upper-class complex with a not inconsiderable claim to representation. Lübisrath belongs to a medieval settlement area. It can therefore be assumed that the courtyard complex that exists today goes back to a medieval courtyard beyond the proven 18th century and thus vividly documents an interesting settlement continuity in terms of regional history. | 1783 | 08/28/1985 | 147

Agricultural operation | Hemmerden Vellrather Hof 1 card |
The Vellrather Hof is almost a classic case of a court festival. The courtyard dates from the 2nd half of the 18th century and bears an alliance coat of arms and the year 1784 in the Torkeilstein. It is a 4-wing, closed brick courtyard complex with a 2-storey, 8-axis residential building. The house has plastered external facades, segmented arched windows with sandstone walls and a hipped roof. The barn wings were built in the 19th century. The courtyard is already listed as a four-sided, closed, large farmyard in the Tranchot menu. The Vellrather Hof is a fortified courtyard. To this day, this courtyard encircles trench sections in the north, west and southwest that belong to the moat that used to surround the entire court fortress. This trench once led around the actual courtyard at a distance of 40 m. The courtyard, in turn, was enclosed by a second moat system that ran tightly around the walls. Vellrath belongs to the relatively rare group of court festivals with double moats. | 2nd half of the 18th century | 07.10.1985 | 150

Commercial and residential building | Chapels with Neubrück and Tüschenbroich Talstrasse 31 map |
1909 built late 19th century residential and commercial building in a corner location. 2-storey with plastered ashlar ground floor and red clinkered upper floor with plaster edging of the walls. The design highlight is the corner of the façade with a parapet wall adorned with a coat of arms and a wedge stone as well as the year under the pointed arched attic window. The building is to be seen as a characteristic example of late Wilhelminian style architecture with elements of the Neo-Renaissance style with a Gothic touch, which has retained its original appearance unchanged. It is to be assumed that here, according to the common principle of the Wilhelminian expansion of the city, a kind of corner marking was to be created for subsequent buildings, which however were not implemented or not implemented in the specified form. | 1909 | December 06, 1985 | 151

office building | Neuenhausen Am Welchenberg Map |
Former monastery from the 2nd half of the 19th century. Preserved: 2-storey residential building with segmented arched windows including the cellar vault partially below. Changed in the 19th century. The complex is of great importance for the history of churches and settlements in the neighborhoods of Neuenhausen, Gustorf, Gindorf, Allrath, Barrenstein, Frimmersdorf and Neurath. In connection with the Willibrordus Fountain, the monastery was a well-known pilgrimage site and is still present today as a historical site in the consciousness of the residents of the surrounding districts. Welchenberg Abbey and its surroundings can show a historical continuity like hardly any other place in Grevenbroich. Residential buildings | Chapels with Neubrück and Tüschenbroich Neubrück 20 map |
The Neubrücker Mühle an der Erft consists of two mill buildings placed next to each other, slurried in brick, which were converted for residential purposes in 1956. The core of the southern mill building probably dates back to the 17th century. In 1798 (see dating in the gable) the mill was extended by a second parallel building. Originally it served as a grain mill and was later also used as a sawmill. Upstream of the Erft there was a weir system with three iron water wheels, of which two water wheels and the weir system have been preserved today. The importance of the mill results not only from the buildings, but especially from the technical details that make the functioning of the mill understandable even today. These include the two water wheels, the last in the area of the city of Grevenbroich, and the weir system. It must be particularly emphasized that the landscape, namely the course of the Erft in this area, has hardly changed compared to the topographical map of Tranchot and Müffling. | 1798 | 01/26/1988 | 161

Gustorfer Mill | Gindorf turbine and turbine housing of the former water mill, Zur Wassermühle 27–31 map |
The Gustorfer Mühle has handed over one of the grain mills so important for rural economic life. The complex of storage building, mill and turbine house with preserved turbine documents the grain milling technique, which is still based on the use of water power. A weir made of wood extends across the river. Wooden gates that could be operated by racks and cranks are located between strong stands, which are stiffened to the mill pond by struts. The weir secured the water level required to operate the turbine and is an integral part of the overall system. | Late 19th century | 06/27/1995 | 191

Former rolling mill | Grevenbroich Am Hammerwerk 33 card |
The oldest building is the rolling mill hall from 1872/73 to the west. It is only in its external appearance - west gable and southern eaves facade with arched window - to be considered a monument. As can still be seen on the gable, the iron roof construction was raised when it was renewed and the side roof surfaces flattened. In the north, an approx. 13.5 m wide lower, presumably later built side hall extends directly over the entire length of the building. To the east of the rolling mill hall is a two-story workshop built in 1899. To the north there is a 2-storey administration and sanitary wing. The north-west corner of the northern side hall of the rolling mill hall is adjoined by a two-storey brick building arranged at right angles. | 1872/73 | 11/09/1995 | 192

Office and residential building | Grevenbroich Karl-Oberbach-Strasse 50 map |
The two-storey, three-axle corner house with a recessed mansard roof and a low, flat-plan extension to the west was built around 1890 (as evidenced by historical planning documents; before 1895) as part of the eastward expansion of the city. The single-axis extension is also two-story. The client was a lawyer named PH. Schlick, who built the building (at that time still Wilhelmstrasse 1) as a residential building. With its red clinker facade, the solid construction, which initially appears simple, impresses with its complex external stone design for a residential building, as well as with the high-quality original interior fittings. A belt and profiled eaves made of natural stone structure the building horizontally. The lintel windows are striking, the cloaks, spars and, in some cases, cross sticks made of cased natural stone. With a few exceptions, the original wooden windows with fittings are still there. The interior of the house is entered through the original two-winged wooden front door with a skylight and barred glass in the wings. In addition, the original stoneware tile floor, which is laid like a carpet, has been preserved in the entire hall and hall area of the ground floor. | around 1890 | 08/26/1999 | 198
