Main street
( location )
Ensemble Hauptstrasse The two rows of houses are lined up in strict order on the through road rising to the west, except for the group of houses from No. 1, all of them with protruding pitched roofs. The original 12 properties of the clearing settlement were arranged according to the pattern of the street markets of the 13th century. The fire of 1805 resulted in the official reconstruction regulations in solid construction and the construction of stalls. The proportions and room layouts of the houses on the courtyard side remained indigenous, the connections between the main houses in the west corner and the smaller halls in the east through the so-called gate helmets (gate walls with mostly round-arched driveways and pedestrian gates) created the uniquely closed sequence for the area. This street-side shielding corresponds to the rear-side blocking by crossbars. The relationship between official regulations and client characteristics is easy to read to this day; the inn (house no. 1) with its satellite buildings, which was built at the end of the 19th century, disrupts this relationship. In addition, a number of new buildings and conversions have been carried out in the ensemble area in recent decades. E-2-72-128-1 Ensemble Hauptstrasse

Remarks

  1. This list may not correspond to the current status of the official list of monuments. The latter can be viewed on the Internet as a PDF using the link given under web links and is also mapped in the Bavarian Monument Atlas . Even these representations, although they are updated daily by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation , do not always and everywhere reflect the current status. Therefore, the presence or absence of an object in this list or in the Bavarian Monument Atlas does not guarantee that it is currently a registered monument or not. The Bavarian List of Monuments is also an information directory. The property of a monument - and thus the legal protection - is defined in Art. 1 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act (BayDSchG) and does not depend on the mapping in the Monument Atlas and the entry in the Bavarian Monument List. Objects that are not listed in the Bavarian Monument List can also be monuments if they meet the criteria according to Art. 1 BayDSchG. Early involvement of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation according to Art. 6 BayDSchG is therefore necessary in all projects.
