Manor chapel The chapel , better known as the Forest Church , was built on behalf of the landowner and bailiff Carl Johann Hartwig Binder zu Darsikow and inaugurated in 1832. In the field stone church with a wooden roof turret and a bell, a service was last held in the 1970s . In order to save the church from deterioration or demolition after the fall of the Wall , the local Sibylle Podorf founded the association Kleine Kirche Darsikow eV and appealed for donations. She was also able to win over the engineering office Birte and Ralph Nyga for planning and realizing the work. In small steps, the building was restored in accordance with the monument, the original church pews and the original bell from the Gustav Collier foundry in Zehlendorf could be re-procured. For its persistent work, the association received the Federal Prize for Crafts in Monument Preservation in November 2016, and the forest church can now be used again for various purposes, including church services.
