Wittstock station, consisting of an old station building, a new station reception building with goods shed and office building as well as a depot with locomotive shed with turntable, wagon workshop, locksmith's shop / forge with integrated water tower, water crane and bathhouse In 1885 Wittstock received a rail connection with the line from Perleberg , which was extended in 1895 across the Mecklenburg border towards Neustrelitz . In 1899 Wittstock received a direct connection to Berlin with the line from Kremmen , and in 1911 the line was extended to Meyenburg. The old station building, a two-story brick building, dates from the time the line was built. In 1938 a large, representative new reception building was built next to it, and the old train station became a residential building. Both buildings are currently (as of 2013) unused and empty. Only the routes in the direction of Kremmen and Perleberg are still in operation. The depot is located south of the tracks on the side of the station facing away from the city. Its facilities are no longer used.
