The Berlinchener See stretches directly to the west of the village .
history
Berlinchen has about 250 inhabitants today. There is a church and four streets in the village. The first documentary mention comes from the year 1274 as minoris Berlin . In 1431 it was mentioned as lutteken berlyn and in 1574 as Berlinichen. The addition minoris or lutteken , both for small and later replaced by the diminutive suffix -chen , was necessary because there was Greater Berlin in the neighborhood. This no longer exists today. The name of the place, like that of Berlin , comes from Slavonic. He points to a swampy and boggy area. In April 1945 there was a fight between the troops of the Wehrmacht and those of the Red Army in Berlinchen .
