Dossow is a district of the town of Wittstock / Dosse in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in the north-west of Brandenburg . The village is the ancestral seat of the old Brandenburg noble family von Dossow .
The place, in which 429 inhabitants live on 14.25 km² (as of December 31, 2013), is located southeast of the center of Wittstock / Dosse. The Dosse , a right tributary of the Havel , flows through the village.
The northwest running A 19 joins the west and south running A 24 at the Wittstock / Dosse motorway junction to the west . Dossow is on the Kremmen – Meyenburg railway line .
The 73 meter high Steinberg rises to the southeast.
