( Location ) City fortification, consisting of city wall, communication and ramparts The city fortifications have been a listed building since 1912. It is not known when the city fortifications existed, but they were significantly reinforced in the 14th and 15th centuries. The brick city wall, interrupted by soft houses, surrounded the entire city. There were round towers at the Altruppiner Tor and the Bechlinger Tor. Towards the land, the city was additionally protected by ramparts and ditches. From 1875, no taxes were levied at the city gates and the city wall lost its function.

Residential building Built in 1788 after the city fire in the former Heinrichstrasse, the building was purchased in February 1815 for 3800 thalers by the Masonic lodge "Ferdinand zum Roten Adler". This expanded and rebuilt, created a garden and tried to prevent expropriation in 1934 by selling it to the "Ruppinsche Eisenbahn AG", whose director at the time, Karl Hochstätter, was also the last master of the chair before the forced dissolution. In 1935, the SA moved into the house as the "Comradeship House". In 1997 the " Weltkugel-Stiftung " got the property and building back and in autumn 1997 leased the property to the DRK district association Ostprignitz-Ruppin. Since 2001 the home of the reopened Masonic St. John's Lodge "Ferdinand zum Roten Adler" has been located here.
