Molchow is a district of Neuruppin in the Brandenburg district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin . The hamlet of Stendenitz also belongs to this district . Molchow has 237 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2017).
location
The round village is located about three kilometers north of Alt Ruppin on the Ruppin chain of lakes between Tetzensee and Molchowsee in Ruppin Switzerland .
history
The village is mentioned in 1462. Around 1490 Molchow was part of the Ruppin rule, which was essentially imperial, under the rule of the Counts of Lindow-Ruppin . It belonged to Alt Ruppin until 1872.
On December 6, 1993 Molchow was incorporated into Neuruppin.
Attractions
- According to the inscription on the tower, the bell tower was built in 1692 for a bell from 1522, the origin of which is unknown.
