NGC 435 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Scd in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 461 million light years from the Milky Way and about 150,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 445 , IC 83 , IC 84 .
The object was discovered on October 23, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
