NGC 437 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is around 240 million light years away and has a diameter of around 90,000 light years.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 455 .
The object was discovered on October 22, 1886 by the American astronomer Lewis A. Swift .
