NGC 413 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 263 million light years from the Milky Way and about 90,000 light years across.
The object was discovered by the American astronomer Francis Preserved Leavenworth in 1886 and was soon added to the New General Catalog (NGC).
