NGC 432 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Toucan on southern sky . It is an estimated 356 million light years from the Milky Way and about 140,000 light years in diameter.
The object was mapped on October 6, 1834 by the British astronomer John Herschel .
