NGC 454 is an interacting pair of galaxies in the constellation Phoenix , which is approximately 158 million light years from the Milky Way. The pair consists of an elliptical galaxy (eastern component, NGC 454E ) and an irregular galaxy that could possibly also be a disk galaxy (western component, NGC 454W ).

The object was discovered by John Herschel on October 5, 1834 .
