NGC 469 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type SD in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 188 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 40,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 471 and NGC 475 .
The object was discovered on November 3, 1864 by the German astronomer Albert Marth .
