NGC 462 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is around 626 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 75,000 light years.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 446 , NGC 470 , NGC 474 , NGC 479 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on October 23, 1864 .
