NGC 394 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 205 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter.
Together with NGC 392 and NGC 397 , it forms the isolated galaxy trio KTG 3 .

The object was discovered on October 26, 1854 by the Irish astronomer R. J. Mitchell , an assistant to William Parsons .
