List of nuclear reactors in the People's Republic of China

The list of nuclear reactors in the People's Republic of China includes all commercial power reactors currently in operation and under construction , nuclear power plants whose planning / construction has finally been abandoned, as well as all research reactors and military nuclear facilities .

Nuclear power plants

The nuclear power plant grouping includes all power reactors and prototype systems that are used for commercial power generation.

Performance data

47 reactor units are currently operated at 16 locations in the People's Republic of China , and 14 more reactor units are under construction (as of November 2019). The first commercially used reactor block went into operation in 1991. In 2017, nuclear energy in China accounted for around 4 percent of total electricity generation.
