List of nuclear facilities in France

In France , between 1956 and 2002, over 70 nuclear plants were commissioned. The first research reactor for energy production was built by the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique (CEA) in Marcoule , the last, the Creys-Malville reactor in Creys-Mépieu in the Isère department , which was also used commercially. 57 commercially used reactors are still in operation.

“Dodgy steam generators” were installed in 19 of 57 commercial reactors. These are indicated by a tilde (~) below .
